Joyce's Story

Pastor Dwight Addleman and Life Spring Christian Church in Beaumont, California have been delivering living water to the residents of the surrounding community since the church plant opened in 2005. Joyce, an active member of the young congregation, shares how the ministry of Life Spring changed her life.

I've been a Christian for six years. I was praying for a church in my community that was right for me...

I had tried all the established churches in the area, but just couldn't find what I was looking for. After searching for about a year my prayers were answered. I received a card in the mail from Life Spring Christian Church, and at first glance I felt that this was for me. So I waited impatiently for the first Sunday date on the card.

When I arrived, a very friendly and warm greeting by several people including the Pastor and his wife welcomed me. It was already like family. I am a single lady, so I usually sat alone and was not approached by other members at the other churches I had gone to. But with Life Spring I belonged from the very first day.

In the past year I have been a constant attendee (a first in my 72 years). I have enjoyed having a Bible Study group in my home, along with the loving people I have met. Before Life Spring I had a very limited knowledge of the Bible, but with the sermons, weekly Bible Study and daily study I have learned so much about what life is really all about, my priorities are with what Jesus expects of me. My needs are abundantly met. Also thanks to Life Spring and my Lord Jesus Christ, I enjoy peace and joy in my everyday life...I am truly blessed!
