tim halstead - our first Church of Christ planter!

Odessa, Texas – We are thrilled to announce that on March 1 we hired Timothy R. Halstead to plant an a cappella Church of Christ in Odessa, Texas. New Life Church of Christ, the first a cappella church ever to be planted in partnership with Stadia, is scheduled to launch this October.

The independent Christian Churches and a cappella Churches of Christ formally split in 1906, but in recent years there has been increased talk of cooperation between the two groups. Marc Bigelow has often said that our compassion for the lost will be the key to unity between the two groups, and there is no more effective means for reaching the lost than planting new churches!

Praise God! We have celebrated 11 Grand Openings since January 1 of this year, and our 12th is scheduled to launch on April 17. That’s 12 new churches – in six different states – in less than four months! God willing, another 14 churches (including New Life Church of Christ) will launch this fall.

  event - Phil Claycomb to lead church planting seminar

Cincinnati, Ohio – Phil Claycomb, our Director of Church Planting and Planter Care, will be leading a seminar on church planting with Bill Bravard at Cincinnati Christian University this May 17-21.

Through a grant from a church planting foundation, the first twenty-five students to enroll may receive one half of their course tuition for free. If you wish to be considered for this 50% grant you must register for the course by May 1.
